The primary responsibility of the Manager, Information Systems Architecture position is to manage and provide leadership for two Dev/Ops teams within Cerner’s Enterprise Services organization. These teams provide development and support for the infrastructure capacity and configuration management system (CMS) solutions at Cerner. These solutions span on-premise and cloud environments and are heavily focused on data collection, processing and analytics. Lead, direct and review the team’s efforts and results to achieve our goals and objectives in alignment with the overall initiatives of the parent organization. Acting as the solution owner and working with architects and technical leads, define strategy, vision and manage the solution technology roadmaps. Drive adoption for our services across Cerner, manage stakeholder and technology supplier relationships for our solutions, and identify opportunities to derive additional value from our solutions which will benefit our business stakeholders. Manage relationships and provide guidance for our partner development teams in India. Assist project managers with intake, prioritization and execution of development work and releases. Provide oversight of daily operations and support existing processes. Identify, propose and lead team and org-level quality and process improvement initiatives. Manage, coach and support associate development, growth and well-being on the teams via consistent and timely feedback, guidance and regular developmental conversations. Provide primary input and recommendations on staffing and performance decisions for direct reports.

Working Environment

This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Total combined related work experience and completed higher education, At least 8 years
    • System engineering and/or system architecture work experience, At least 2 years
    • Additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, At least 6 years, including:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • People management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience, At least 2 years
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Expectations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
