Job Description
Position: Server Assistant/Busser
- Customer Service is top priority
- Certifications required: “California Food Handler’s Permit” & “RBS Alcohol Permit” (if over 21 years of age)
Knowledge required:
- Ceron style table setting and resetting. Must be done the same for every placement.
- Develop understanding of the restaurant and be able to answer general customer questions
Skills/Abilities
- Proper table side service protocols (ex: which side to serve plates vs which side to pull plates from) Includes beverage placement, utensils, napkin reset
- Use a serving tray
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Expectations as a Team Member:
- Work efficiently with other Server Assistants
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with rest of staff
- Support Severs mainly and Bartenders when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness throughout restaurant
- Maintaining clean uniform and personal hygiene
Direct Duties
- Make coffee, iced tea, and lemonade
- assist servers with hot tea and espresso service
- Maintaining stock of necessary supplies: napkins, table cloths, paper, silverware, etc.
- Clean finished tables & Reset
- Refill beverages (soft drinks, coffee, iced tea and lemonade)
- Clear empty plates and glasses
- Maintain stock of silverware and linens
- Wash glasses, restock them
- Check in with bar to assist with glasses, clearing their tables and more
- Maintain waste bins
- Restock necessary flatware and plates
