Responsibilities:
Effectively manage and follow up on outstanding medical accounts receivable.
File appeals and Disputes on denied claims
Utilize in-depth knowledge of medical billing codes, insurance policies, and regulations for successful resolution
Communicate professionally with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to address collection issues
Analyze and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) and remittance advice for accurate account reconciliation
Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations and insurance industry practices
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Billing and Collections
Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
Knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in account reconciliation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Previous experience in a certified healthcare billing role is advantageous
