What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitting Associate position at Certified Source?
Position Title: Kit & Component (Kitter) = $17/hr
PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The Fabrication Kitter safely moves a wide variety of parts, materials and product through the organization and documents the parts and material movement in the ERP system. Kitters are responsible for gathering parts and ensuring job orders are completely kitted and ready to move to the next operation. Kitters should understand the function and relationship of their activity/department to the company and strive to obtain cooperation and understanding with all other departments
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to use material moving equipment such as overhead cranes, pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring products and materials to an appropriate location
Kit all parts ready for machine shop by work center out of saw, plasma and laser operations while grouping by like parts and common routings.
Kit all parts done to make sure job is ready for next operation (group separated parts and put them together by sub-assembly).
Identify and resolve any parts shortages for jobs pulled/kitted.
Issues materials to departments in the organization upon request. This involves transacting inventory quantities to the department and delivering the parts to the work area.
Monitors inventory and reports quantity discrepancies to supervisor or manager.
Utilizes ERP system to effect inventory transactions.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing internal customer services. This includes internal customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Ability to accurately perform inventory transactions and prevent/resolve discrepancies.
Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack and overhead crane.
QUALIFICATIONS / PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
2 years of inventory or material handling; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Basic math, reading and computer skills (excel, word, outlook).
Experience with an ERP system.
