Job Title: Solar Project Coordinator
Status: Full-time
Pay Rate: $58,240 – $67,000 annual salary (Based on Experience)

A Solar Project Coordinator is responsible for preparing building permit submittal packages, as well as coordinating the efficient submittal, approval, and retrieval from jurisdictions. The Permit Coordinator communicates the status of each permit and works closely with internal teams to meet company goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure each phase of the project is completed accurately and timely
- Ensure that all milestones and deliverables are met through each phase of the project
- Receive and scrub projects for completion and accuracy
- Coordination of installation schedules; management of staffing to ensure on-time completion
- Submit Solar Plans for Agency Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) approval
- Coordinate with Permitting Vendors for additional support as needed
- Ensure active business license in respective AHJ
- Ensure contracts and financing are signed and completed and that pricing and costs match
- Partner with REA and customer to submit Solar Plans for HOA approval
- Coordinate with Finance/PPA companies for milestone approvals
- Coordinate with utility companies for meter panel upgrades (meter spots)
- Coordinate with utility companies for disconnect/reconnects
- Coordinate with utility companies for PTO approvals
- Review, prepare, submit, and receive permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements
- Coordinate payment and reimbursement of permit fees according to company guidelines
- Understand local AHJ requirements as it relates to the permit process and update the AHJ database permitting requirements as needed.
- Process several permits daily for multiple solar projects
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 Years’ Experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate to team members.
- Knowledge of building permit requirements.
- Familiarity with all aspects of the solar installation process including site assessments, planning, permitting and PTO with various utilities
- Strong writing skills, able to update team members and clients in a concise and personable manner.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM platform.
