Cervélo exists to Make Riders Faster. You'll see our bikes on the road, on the trail, and under some of the most elite athletes in the world.

We're a small group of passionate riders, dedicated to delivering the best bikes in the world. It's not all CAD and wind tunnel time, though, we're headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, a sweet corner of Orange County where you can ride on and off-road year-round.

Coming off a historic year in which Cervélo bikes won all three Grand Tours (the first bike in history to do so), our ambitions have never been higher, and we're looking for talented, driven people to join our team.

Position : Bicycle Technician

Location : Aliso Viejo, CA

Reports to : Engineering Manager

Status : Regular, Full Time

Compensation Range : $23- $25 per hour

Job purpose : The Bicycle Technician role demands a "race-tech" level mechanic skills with an efficient, methodical, approach to bike building, setup and maintenance.

Managing and tracking a substantial dollar value of materials is a core responsibility and so regimented organization is required at all times.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Product Development

• First builds of new models
• Test fitting of new components
• Debugging / troubleshooting of mechanical issues, teardowns, rebuilds and maintenance
• Evaluation of competitor products
• Preparation of 3D-printed prototypes
• Organize and maintain QC lab and workstations

Marketing

• Build bike as needed
• Managing inventory in ERP
• Enter sales orders in ERP
• Manage resales fleet
• Athlete support, as needed
• Manage storage

General

• Manage shipping, receiving and return bikes
• Maintain small parts
• Manage shop supplies
• Vehicle maintenance
• Main contact for shipping, courier vendor
• Support media at the office and / or at remote launch locations

Other duties as required

Core Competencies and Requirements :

• 4 years of bicycle mechanic experience and advanced race tech level knowledge
• Working knowledge of Google Suite, MS Dynamic (Great Plains) & SAP, preferred
• Driver's license in good standing with the State

Knowledge :

• Genuine interest in cycling products is essential
• Good communication skills with the ability to establish solid relationships with athletes and media
• High level of organization with the ability to work under pressure, adhere to tight project timelines and coordinate multiple projects with a high number of small fragmented demands
• Self-motivated and collaborative attitude
• Ability to travel and professionally represent the organization
• Experience in building photo shoot-ready bikes and / or press camps is preferred
• Ability to learn and evangelize ERP and Project Management tools and systems
• Valid driver's license in good standing with ability to get DOT certified in order to drive, move, transport company tow vehicles / trailers
• Ability to work under pressure
