CESAs were started over 50 years ago to partner with local school districts to provide high-quality educational and therapy services for students. Wisconsin is divided into 12 CESAs, with CESA #1 comprising six counties in southeastern Wisconsin. CESA #1 is home to 30,000 educators and more than 300,000 students. We are proud of our strong history supporting schools and students. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support students, families, and schools! Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy treatment for students ages PK - 12 in a school setting. Therapy is with the goal to improve, develop, restore, or maintain a child's active participation in self-maintenance, work, leisure, and play in education environments. Work with students to develop functional skills, allowing them to succeed in the classroom. The OT may also conduct evaluations of students. QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree in occupational therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association - Current Occupational Therapy license from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services - Current Occupational Therapy license from the Department of Public Instruction or the ability to obtain one - School based therapy experience preferred.
