Contract Logistics Revenue Analyst
YOUR ROLE
The Contract Logistics and revenue Analyst would be responsible for end-to-end management of Contract Logistics Revenue and billing for the assigned customers.
The primary duties will include:
- Review sales contracts, understand bill rates for various activities to ensure proper revenue accrual and billing.
- Pull data from multiple sources, harmonize the data using Microsoft access and excel to arrive at bill amount.
- Analyze and understand various products/business and revenue streams to ensure proper revenue recognition and proper setup in the system.
- Month end closing of monthly revenue ledgers with closing schedules: prepare revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance to ASC 606 Accounting Standard.
- Create and analyze revenue related reports.
- Participate in development and documentation of revenue-related policies and procedures.
- Identify process issues and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Support and improve month, quarter, and year-end close processes and reporting.
- Prepare and post related monthly journal entries
- Other special projects and duties as assigned.
- Partner with the business to communicate variances, understand the drivers, and hold business team members accountable.
- Assist with external audit(s) including process demonstrations.
- Meet deadlines for all tasks
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Mathematics.
- Excellent working knowledge of PC and network environments and advanced knowledge of Excel required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access is highly desired.
- Ability to research and apply ASC Topic 606.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
