SUMMARY: Warehouse Worker completes paperwork, ensures tasks are completed safely and on time, and must make decisions regarding the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory. Warehouse workers work with heavy equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move freight from trucks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collecting merchandise from the distribution center and safely transporting materials to the shipping bay
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
- Managing all merchandise with appropriate care
- Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to three years related experience or equivalent.
- Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
