SUMMARY
As a part of an overall manufacturing support team, be able to assist Operator and Ink Tech in a variety of printing process. Be able to perform the required support at the Press operation. Perform the required safe cylinder handling. Ensures compliance to Safety and GMP requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties might be assigned:
- A member of the Production support team of individuals who are multi-skilled and cross-trained in the production and support areas for the Press.
- In conjunction with the Press Operator and other Crew members, assist in performing quality printing and meeting manufacturing goals.
- Become efficient with all aspects for the required handling of trolley set up, cylinder handling, WETS and WEBS on the Press.
- Assist Ink Tech for WETS preparation when needed.
- Prepare cylinders in accordance with the production schedule.
- Support the Operator and Ink Tech during change-over and startups.
- Maintain tools and parts needed for the production process.
- Operate forklift.
- Perform daily and periodic cleaning in order to maintain the required 5-S standards throughout the manufacturing area.
- Observe and make recommendations on all issues regarding safety, quality and production.
- All other duties appropriate to the position as assigned or required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Basic knowledge of computer software and functions, including PDC and SAP functions.
