What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Operations Manager position at CFSB?
JOB SUMMARY:
The VP, Operations Manager, will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational workflow of the ACH, Wire & Settlement Services teams, and assist the EVP, Head of Payments & Settlement Services with various high-level tasks and projects. The successful candidate for this role would possess impeccable attention to details, strong organizational and project management skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support to staff and customers.
- Research and resolve customers’ inquiries, as well as external Bank/FI inquiries.
- Manage the process of ACH files, both receiving and originating.
- Help prepare and reconcile posting files for all ODFI/RDFI entries.
- Generate and review reports related to Originations and Returns.
- Ensure ACH transactions are compliant with NACHA requirements.
- Review and update ACH and Wire department procedures as needed.
- Review and update ACH and Wire Risk Assessments and Policies as required.
- Provide support across the Bank’s departments and liaise with Finance, Compliance, Wire, IT, and Prepaid Card departments.
- Provide data analysis for Monthly Board Reports
- Generate and compile data for internal/external audits and NACHA audit requests.
- Reconcile open items pending on GL and resolve any reconciliation breaks.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all processing and posting are accurate.
- Monitor and update ACH exposure limits.
- Analyze processes and create strategies and procedures to optimize efficiency.
- Troubleshoot any issues as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the EVP, Head of Payments & Settlement Services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication in interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus while working on multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and industry best standards/practices.
- Extensive knowledge of ACH, Wire processing and ACH and Wire Risk Management.
- Coach and train employees in different processes and improve operational efficiencies across all teams.
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field Preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Bank Operations, FinTech & Payment Services required, preferably in back-office operations.
Salary Range: $145,000 - $165,000
