A major supplier of natural and synthetic graphite, cokes, coals, and all carbon products, as well as a variety of raw materials used around the world is seeking a Logistics Coordinator, or Logistics Specialist Coordinator, to prepare routes and manage the company’s purchase orders and sales orders. Their main duties include reviewing shipment materials before distribution, collaborating with transportation systems to ensure prompt shipment pick-ups, and monitoring shipment costs and productivity processes.
Job Overview:
- Tactically plan and manage logistics “moves”, warehouse inventory management, customer service sales orders, and Corsair TMS program. With a key day to day focus on scheduling and tracking inbound and outgoing shipments.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints involving the transportation of raw materials or finished goods.
- Ensure outbound orders are delivered to customers in a timely manner meeting or exceeding client expectations.
- Ensure ordered inbound goods reach the correct destination on time and at targeted or budgeted landed cost levels.
- Comply with laws, regulations, internal procedures and ISO requirements.
- Prepare reports concerning supply chain operations
- Establish and maintain collaborating relationships with customers (internal and external), suppliers and supply chain staff.
Ideal Qualifications for this role include:
- Background in the logistics field.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and efficient in time management
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping
- Microsoft Office proficiency, advanced Excel and or database skills preferred
- Experience working with and in ERP systems
- BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
Additional:
- Role is hybrid; must work first 60 days in Asbury, NJ for training.
Salary and Benefits:
- A reasonable estimate of the base range is $50K to $65K per year
