What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Supervisors position at CG Team?

The perfect candidate for this role will have experience completing the following job duties:
- 3 – 5 years accounting experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license preferred, but not required
- Client management experience
- Ability to review and prepare certain Federal and state tax returns
- Understanding of United States tax reform legislation and guidance
- Ability to learn and/or perform tax research, writing, and analysis
- Comfortable with researching and navigating Federal, SALT, Sales & Use, and Property tax matters
- Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
- Supervise, direct, and mentor Interns, as well as Staff and Senior Staff Accountants
- Ability to navigate and utilize tax research tools and resources
- Experience with various tax theories and how to apply
- Capability to quickly learn various cloud-based software solutions
- Ability to multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytic skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn from experienced professionals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software), Adobe Acrobat, and accounting software (QuickBooks and UltraTax preferred)
