Job Description
This role requires a proven track record across a wide range of activities connected to an HPC and Cloud environment. Your primary responsibilities will be to improve and develop our systems, technology, and infrastructure, alongside providing third line technical support. Additionally, you will be expected to mentor and coach junior members of the team.
This role will focus on developing our DevOps environment, transitioning from older IT Ops approaches into a more Agile way of working. It will help lead that transition by demonstrating best practice, and through coaching and development of existing staff.

This hybrid role will require the candidate to be able to come onsite a couple days a week or if/when required.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
HPC Linux Administration with Tier 2 and Tier 3 level support
Remain knowledgeable of technology trends and business demands to ensure best practices are being implemented for analytical and problem-solving challenges while learning and have flexibility to adapt to new challenges/directions
Cyber Security - Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles to ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
Identifies, researches, and resolves the most complex technical problems
Change Control management
Documentation management
Some Agile Project management within company standards

Service & System monitoring
Automation & Optimalization
Globalization & Standardization – Adhere to Set standard Policies
Communicate and collaborate with personnel of various levels and functions

Participate in the on-call rotation for after hours and weekend calls
Qualifications
Educated to a Bachelor’s degree level in any of the following disciplines (Desired):
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related computing subjects
ITIL Foundation level certification (Desired)
5 years Extensive levels of Linux administration, preferably in an HPC environment
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible, Gitlab or an equivalent
Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
Some experience with SQL, MySQL, and MariaDB
Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
Excellent coding and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl); shell scripting
Experience in fast paced, high-volume critical production environment
Very good technical understanding and technical leadership qualities
Excellent communications, presentation, and customer service skills, and must have an outstanding track record of meeting customer expectations.
Knowledge of GPUs and Immersion Cooling (Desired)
Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) and clustering technology (object storage, parallel file systems, RAID storage)
Understanding of networks, RAID, and tape subsystems
Virtualization knowledge and experience
Cloud administration experience
OpenStack experience (Desired)
SOC2 experience (Desired)
Must be detail oriented & work well in a team environment
A strong understanding of the DevOps methodologies
Ensure confidentiality and reliability of corporate data
Must have legal right to live and work in the United States
