Position Description
Are you ready to expand your core software development skills and gain hands-on experience with emerging digital technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
The role is an RPA Development Lead role responsible for the development of a large-scale enterprise system including live production as well as testing and analysis in non-production instances. You will be supporting a large Federal Government Executive agency and a team of business analysis and other developers. You will play a direct role assisting government members, supporting the overall agency mission. You will also be part of a client specific team where members are based in multiple locations across the US.
***Candidates are required to be within a 50 miles radius of a CGI Federal office. Individuals will have to report to the office 2 days per week***
Your future duties and responsibilities
Manage a team of developers who will craft, develop, and test solutions to automate processes, activities, and tasks through RPA and improved workflow automation platforms.
Exhibit a hands-on leadership style with a focus on leading by example throughout the development of RPA bots.
Mentor junior RPA developers and provide guidance and technical direction on troubleshooting and best practices.
Participate in requirements capturing and craft through client meeting, interviews, and workshops.
Build and maintain sets of automations for multiple projects.
Plan and participate in deployment of RPA platform components, including bots, orchestrators, development tools, and systems integrations, to meet enterprise requirements for security, scalability, and performance.
Contributes to future technology architecture roadmap by recommending options from third party/cloud solutions and participating in Proof of Concept (POC)/Prototyping initiatives.
Provide technical direction on design considerations, including performance, scalability, availability, maintainability, and audit ability.
Participates in estimation and planning activities
Communicates daily with RPA leadership on progress, plans for the day, and reports any issues blocking progress
Participates in demos, code reviews, and retrospectives; communicates ideas for team continuous improvement and willingly receives feedback for self-improvement
Focuses on delivering business priority and value at all times
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems and issues. Report, track, and address defects. Deploy new versions of updated software and enhanced automations.
Document technical designs, release notes, and other project documentation in Confluence to support development, security, operations, and maintenance.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related fields, and 6 years proven ability.
Multiple years of RPA development experience, preferably using UiPath
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
General understanding technical design documents relevant to process modeling and design.
Past experience working on a collaborative team that practices DevOps throughout the SDLC.
Experience across the SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support and maintenance.
Must be an adaptable self-starter and work with minimal direction. Must be able to balance multiple projects and prioritize time effectively.
Ability to work well with business unit SME's, Business Analysts, vendors, and end users in multi-functional teams.
Track record of meeting or exceeding client expectations, personal performance expectations, and achieving project goals.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Desired:
Familiarity, certifications, and/or experience with RPA software tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) highly preferred.
Experience with BPM workflow platforms highly preferred.
Experience with ERP and financial solutions highly preferred.
