Position Description:
Client is looking for a self-motivated Database Developer to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client. Hands-on Oracle/SQL Developer (7 years) with domain experience in Banking, Trades and development experience in application development in Oracle, ETL, Informatica. The system has high visibility within the organization and is used by many prominent partners. This role offers flexibility of joining a team using Agile methodologies to deliver high quality software to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with cloud-based technologies on highly visible initiatives to the highest level within the Organization. This role can be performed in Jacksonville, FL or New York, NY.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
7 years of experience in application design and development.
Experience in development using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Will be working hands-on on Oracle so SQL proficiency is a must.
Experience working on ETL, Informatica and Unix a plus.
Experience working on Banking is helpful.
Capture requirements from Business Analysts and document technical approaches.
Developing application enhancements, bug fixing, debugging and resolving oracle performance issues.
Apply SDLC concepts for designing, coding, testing and implementing.
Unit testing and snapshot testing of components.
Interacting with the offshore development team for continuous design suggestions, development, status updates.
Mentor developers on design & development.
Code review of the team members & suggest the best coding/design practices.
Provide mentorship to support teams on debugging application issues.
Build and Deployment of application on all environments.
Providing support to QA, UAT & PROD users.
Providing multiple and ongoing demo to UAT users & Support teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum of 7 years of application development in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Strong tech skills to handle complex design capability across scenarios.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $74,600 - 143,700.
