Description
We are CURRENTLY seeking a phenomenal Process Tooling Technician to join our growing team!
Position available on third shift.
Work Hours:
- Third Shift - Sunday - Thursday 11 PM - 7:30 AM
As a member of the Process Engineering Team the Process Tooling Technician is a position reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, with responsibilities to insure Safety, Quality, and Production requirements to meet customers’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities
What does a typical day look like? I'm glad you asked!
- Safe operation of the tooling maintenance equipment in various production positions as assigned by the Manager.
- Perform planned maintenance activities on process tooling, such as cleaning, grinding, and assembly of tools.
- Assist production operators with set up of tools and process equipment changeovers.
- Use sketches, blueprints, specifications, and models to assemble and perform maintenance of dies, tools and assemblies, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency of tool life.
- Verify dimensions of tooling details to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.
- Utilize hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools & dies and to repair and modify gauges, jigs, and dies.
- Operation of lathes, surface grinding, hoists, and powered vehicles will be required.
- Preparing crates for shipping large tools.
- Monitoring life and wear on tooling equipment.
- Data collection, reporting into Excel, and production based computer programs such as SAP.
- Planning and laying out work according to models, blueprints, drawings, or other written or oral specifications.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain clean and safe environment following 5S requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
What You Offer Us:
- Knowledge and experience with basic machines manual mill machines I.E. grinders, lathes, other power tools.

- Attention to detail.
- Willingness to adhere to environmental regulations and company procedures.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- 2 years in a manufacturing or tool room environment.
