Cha Cha Matcha are a series of Cafes designed to operate like a cocktail bar. We serve best in class lattes, drafts, cold brews as well as adventurous and fun drinks with amazing flavors made from Ceremonial grade matcha (and third wave coffee)! Our bar is made in a way to give a barista bartender feel and our drinks are made from thoughtfully curated ingredients and blends all designed to elevate your day and make it fun!
About the job
The Cha Cha Matcha Store Leader leads the team to consistently deliver great hospitality and experiences, while ensuring accountability for cafe standards and business goals. This individual is also considered the Brand Ambassador for all things Cha Cha Matcha.
You are an expert on all things Cha Cha Matcha with a focus on promoting our company’s mission, vision and goals to the team and guests.
This role supports the General Manager in managing ordering, inventory levels, and workflow to optimize the financial and operational success of their cafe. They are also invested in the training and development of their teammates and support a strong learning environment in the cafe, focusing on hospitality, product quality, and team development.

You will
- Represent and communicate Cha Cha Matcha’s values and philosophy to guests and team members
- Execute and improve all operational activities to meet your cafe’s financial targets and customer experience standards
- Partner closely with the General Manager to launch and drive all cafe and company initiatives
- Support all training, learning, and development activities for new and current team members
- In partnership with General Manager build and foster an engaged, effective team through recruitment, onboarding as well as on-going training and development
- In partnership with the General Manager, writing an effective schedule that optimizes the cafe and team needs
- Manage daily scheduling
- Keep track of all culinary items and partner with General Manager to keep optimal inventory levels of all supplies
- Lead your shift by ensuring the right people are in the right places and that the team is giving exceptional hospitality
- Provide timely and consistent feedback to your team to inspire continuous improvement in workflow, hospitality, and product quality
- Monitoring customer feedback and escalating complaints to your General Manager
- Prepare delicious beverages and food to quality standards
- Representing the company at product launches, events, and shows
- Maintaining a positive image of the brand at all times
- Promote a safe and respectful working environment
- Uphold and follow all health, food safety, and safety guidelines
You have
- 2 years of management experience in customer service and hospitality (Food and Beverage preferred)
- Experience managing and development teams of at least 10 people
- An understanding on how drive their store to success with constant excellence, building a strong team, and taking initiative to solve problems
- A passionate about hospitality and excellent guest experience
- The ability to be highly organized, takes direction well, and is able to meet all deadlines
- Strong decision making, interpersonal communication, and multi-tasking skills
- Love for matcha and providing exceptional products to all guests at all times
- Ownership of all aspects of your store (financial performance, cleanliness, DOH requirements, team workflow, structure, and more!)
- An existing Food Safety Certification
- Familiarity with online collaboration and organization tools including Google Docs
- A flexible schedule and are available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands of the role:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. You’re on your feet the majority of the day
- Use of hands to reach, grip, turn and perform precision work. You’re using your hands to prepare and pour delicious drinks, and operate the register (among other responsibilities)
- As needed, squat, bend, twist and reach for items below waist level or above shoulders
- Ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 40 pounds. For example, you’ll be handling large containers of prepared matcha, pulling apart and cleaning the soft serve machine, carrying crates of milk
- As needed, climbing ladders, stairs, ramps and uneven floor and/or surfaces.
