Position Title: Staff Accountant
Position Reports to: Corporate Controller at the National Builder Group
Supervises: N/A
Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Career Level: Entry Level to Mid Level(exempt)
Salary: $52K-60K (DOE)

Summary: The Staff Accountant position will assist with the accounts payable processing, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank accounts and vendor statements, and other reporting and ad hoc duties assigned by the Controller.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. This position will support the accounting team with the day-to-day transactions, operations, compliance, reporting and risk management of the department.
Requirements
Primary Accountabilities:
· Accounts payable & file maintenance
· Assist with bank draw preparation for active jobs
· Assist in monthly journal entry preparation, bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
· Annual 1099 filings
· Ad hoc duties assigned by Controller
· Assists with special projects as required
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent
· Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization as well as with trade partners
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Strong analytical and organizational skills
· Self-motivated and self-directed
· Must be a team player
· Ability to work with all levels of management
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Detail oriented
· Able to manage multiple priorities
