What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Registration Manager position at Chambers Health?
The Registration Manager is responsible for direct supervision of registration staff at Chambers Community Health Centers, Inc. (CCHC) to include Bayside Clinic, Dayton Medical Center and West Chambers Medical Center. The Registration Manager will provide support for his/her areas of responsibility. Primary responsibilities include managing registration staff, supporting the management of provider schedules, improving patient access, assisting in streamlining support staff workflows, and tracking metrics for their area of responsibility. This person will also work closely with leadership across the organization to ensure best practices are implemented.
Duties:
- Directly supervises registration staff to ensure that department policies are being followed.
- Responsible for scheduling staff to ensure coverage as needed, including addressing staff PTO requests and coverage.
- Provides support and on-going training for registration staff by becoming an EHR super-user.
- Interviews, hires, and evaluates prospective staff members.
- Performs performance reviews and coaching/disciplinary action for direct reports.
- Tracks key performance indicators on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, to show trends, recognize successful performance by staff members, and uncover problem areas in the practice.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline registration processes and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements:
- Five (5) years of applicable experience; Two (2) years of management experience.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or similar field, preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or similar software.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
