Champaign County Supervisor of Assessments office is hiring an energetic, motivated individual to fill our full-time clerk position. The County offers great benefits including a comprehensive health care plan, paid time off, a 37.5 hour work week, holidays, weekends, and evenings free, and a fully funded pension retirement plan. Duties include entering real estate transfer declarations, processing name and address changes for real estate tax bills, scanning documents, entering exemptions, docketing and issuing Board of Review actions and exemption requests, assisting taxpayers with questions and/or complaints and filing exemptions for real estate tax bills. Requirements include clerical experience, high attention to detail and organizational skills, proficient with numbers and filing, ability to work as a team member, computer proficiency and the ability to work well with the public. Job duties also include a high amount of customer service interaction and problem solving skills. High School Graduate, GED or an equivalent of education and experience.03/26/2023
