Job Posting for Cad Technician at Champion Technology Services, Inc.

Position Overview

The CAD Technician creates and manages all computer aided development of technical drawings and sketches utilized for client/project fulfillment purposes. The main focus of this position is the timely assurance of quality final draft and design materials for project implementations under the direction of a Designer or Engineer.

Primary Job Functions

Design and Drafting

Consults with engineers and designers to obtain the technical details for drawings.
Creates visual plans for the construction of client systems and products in accordance with typical industry standards.
Revises and updates plans and drawings as required by project changes.
Responsible for maintaining accurate revision levels and project details on all drawings.
Responsible for storing all current and prior revisions in proper locations on server(s).
Able to identify /capture (“pick-up”) redlines quickly and accurately.

Secondary Job Functions:

Participates in miscellaneous project reporting as requested.
Assists with implementations and field installations as required.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CAD/Drafting position, electrical experience preferred.
Technical or Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrates a broad knowledge of CAD software.
