Job Summary:
Chancey Metals, LLC, a leading manufacturer of commercial stairs and railing systems, is seeking an experienced Installer with leadership skills to join their team. This full-time position on the day shift offers opportunities for long-term employment, with overtime and overnight travel required. The ideal candidate will have welding and installation experience, along with the ability to supervise and coordinate a crew of at least two employees. Proficiency in welding, blueprint reading, and equipment operation is essential. Effective communication skills and adherence to safety protocols are also critical to success.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervise and coordinate a crew of at least two (2) employees
· Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job’s initial set-up and final outcome
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Supervision on job sites
· Coordinate and schedule in progress work
· Perform other types of weld based on project needs
· Verify material sizes
· De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
· Interpret drawings to cut, notch, fit, and weld materials to proper specifications
· Run a variety of equipment like forklifts, saws, grinders and more.
· Good communication skills with clients, installation team and general contractors is a must
· May perform other duties as assigned by manager
· Follow all safety requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of welding practices
· Knowledge of reading blueprint drawings, specifications and dimensions
· Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job. Bilingual in Spanish a plus
· Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands & is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
· Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculating material fabrication
· Must abide by company safety policies, rules and regulations.
Education and Experience:
· Experience in mig and stick steel welding and Certification a plus
· Installation experience a plus
· Experience in operating powered industrial equipment. Certification a plus.
Additional Requirements:
· You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, protective footwear and any other required for PPE.
· Due to the nature of this job, a valid Driver's License is required.
