In this role, the Development Manager’s primary role is to assist and execute Change Machine’s annual fundraising strategy. This involves populating our institutional funder pipeline through research and early outreach, crafting agendas and presentations, drafting letters of inquiry and grant proposals, managing grant reporting both internally and externally, and tracking all grant and fundraising activity in Salesforce. This includes a mix of cross-departmental collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and general departmental administrative duties.

- A demonstrated commitment to Change Machine’s mission and vision
- 2-3 years’ experience in fundraising and development
- Excellent writer; ability to produce high-quality written content quickly
- Expert communicator; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders
- Extremely thorough and detail oriented; demonstrated ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Intrinsically motivated and able to manage projects independently
- Proficient in Google docs, sheets, slides; HTML
- Experienced in Salesforce data management, fundraising campaigns and pulling funders reports
Preferred Experience
- Social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn preferred
- iDonate or other donor platforms a plus

- Salary range - $70,000 - $75,000 in a non-exempt, hourly capacity

- Ample PTO includes four weeks of paid vacation accumulated during the year, plus 12 federal holidays
While our operations are largely remote, our headquarters are based out of Industry City in Sunset Park Brooklyn. Periodically, we expect staff to come together in-person for all-staff events and meetings.
