Channel Control Merchants is looking for an Area Manager with great customer service and leadership skills, ethics, and a great attitude to join our team!


Schedule: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm


Here is what we do: Closing the Loop with Channel Control Merchant

  • Rate of pay $50,000-55,000 per year
  • Paid weekly

Objectives:

· Increase operational effectiveness of the processing function as measured by Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs and Inventory (SQDCI)- Enforce safety & general housekeeping; eliminate slip hazards, improper lifting, cuts & lacerations- Accurate unloading, sorting, defacing, and tagging of stock items- Balance, allocate & prioritize labor resources to workload volume- Reduce operating costs by improving process flow, eliminating duplicate steps and seeking employee input better job performance• Establish & continuously communicate clear standard operating procedures for all processes within the processing function• Continuously train and develop team members on how to successfully perform their job, hit productivity goals, and work safely• Provide team leaders clear instructions for processing pallets that require special, rush or seasonal handling to minimize errors and ensure smooth flow of work• Implement standard work in communications to 1) clarify accountabilities and expectations for team members and 2) establish consistent on-going use of leader check-ins with associates• Operate with internal customer needs (voice of the customer) in mind; pallets processed to facilitate easy merchandising of product at store

Essential Functions:

· Provide strong leadership and mentoring to the warehouse Processing Team Leads, Assistant Team Leads, and Staff. • Executes SOPs and holds your team accountable, including progressive discipline when necessary• Managing and overseeing the day-to-day warehouse processing activities to ensure efficiency and maximize production.• Coaching and conducting employee performance management.• Communicate process changes, policies, and procedures to Team Leads. • Develop procedures to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of processing space. • Ensure processing space upholds a clear standard of cleanliness, free from obstructions or hazards to staff. • Monitor Quality Control measurements to ensure the accuracy of processed merchandise. • Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of both internal and external reports.

• Meet or exceed 100% of the monthly production goals• Meet or exceed the cost per processed pallet based on monthly budget • 2018 YTD employee retention rate less than 2017 YTD • 2018 YTD OSHA Recordable less than 2017 YTD

Physical Requirements:

• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.• Must have the ability to stand, or sit, for extended periods (entire shift) and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.• Ability to bend and twist frequently

Working Conditions:

• Routinely work near moving mechanical parts such as vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, or similar mechanical devices• Willing to work in hot and cold conditions. Moderate to loud noise levels.
