SOFTWARE DEVELOPER/ENGINEER (E-COMMERCE)

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Software Developer/Engineer with a strong background in e-commerce website development to join our team. This remote position is ideal for candidates who are adept in both front-end and back-end development, with particular expertise in Vue.js, PHP, Laravel, and X-Cart.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain our e-commerce platforms, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
• Utilize Vue.js for front-end development, crafting intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
• Leverage PHP and Laravel in the back-end to build robust, scalable, and secure applications.
• Integrate and optimize X-Cart functionalities to enhance e-commerce capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, design solutions, and implement features.
• Ensure the highest quality of code through regular reviews, testing, and refactoring.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to keep our platforms innovative and competitive.

KEY PROJECTS:

• Implementing dynamic and responsive landing page creator.
• Revamping the website design with a focus on improved UI/UX.
• Integrating ID platforms for specialized discount offerings.
• Implementing improved cookie management in compliance with privacy laws.
• Integrating various payment solutions including gift card payments, Amazon Pay, and Klarna.

TOOLS:

• Utilize Zoho Projects for task management.
• Communicate effectively using Slack and Microsoft Teams.

OBJECTIVES:

• 90-Day Objective: Achieve a thorough understanding of the current web application's architecture. Begin integration of software for landing pages and start the revamp of the UI/UX design.
• 6-Month Objective: Successfully implement the new UI/UX design, integrate at least one new payment solution, and ensure compliance with privacy laws.
• 1-Year Objective: Complete all key projects, and demonstrate a significant improvement in user experience and conversion rates.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in e-commerce website development.
• Strong expertise in Vue.js, PHP, Laravel, and X-Cart.
• Excellent understanding of front-end technologies and back-end frameworks.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Experience with database design and management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routines reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
