Body Shop Manager

Chapman Automotive is seeking a Body Shop Manager to join our team in Tucson, AZ! The Body Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the body shop, ensuring high quality repairs that meet all safety regulations and the highest level of customer satisfaction. Successful candidates are influential and goal oriented leaders who strive for excellence and efficiency. Previous body shop management experience is preferred, but we will train the right person.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and provide direction to achieve goals
• Hire, train and oversee the performance of all body shop employees
• Provide leadership and support for employees
• Delegate daily workload to employees, ensuring deadlines are met and quality of work meets company standards
• Monitor the progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed
• Identify areas for improvement and develop and implement processes and procedures to improve performance and increase efficiency
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with insurance adjusters
• Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
• Promptly handle customer complaints according to company guidelines
• Ensure all applicable documentation is accounted for, filled out completely and accurately, and distributed to the appropriate parties
• Understand, stay abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working in a body shop is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Influential with a focus on continuous improvement
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and background check
