Chapman Law Group is a growing, medium-sized firm looking to add a friendly, motivated and detail oriented finance / accounting professional to our team. The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of AR/AP, strong organizational skills, attention to grammar, detail, accuracy and a strong ability to maintain confidentiality. The finance / accounting manager will have the ability to multi-task and follow up on issues as necessary. The individual should be well versed in Excel and QuickBooks with strong analytical ability. Experience with Timeslips is a plus.
Accounting Manager Requirements:

- Responsibilities:
- · Daily review of new client/matter intake and change requests to ensure accuracy of data in the core accounting system
- · Review pre-bill documents and produce client invoices
- · Serve as a liaison between attorney, client and third-party billing vendor
- · Coordinate client billings based on thresholds with multiple billing attorneys
- · Prepare monthly status reporting as needed
- · Monitor status of retainers, generate invoices and prepare necessary reports
- · Communicate in a diplomatic manner to resolve billing challenges and inquiries
- · Assist with printing and distribution of month-end reports
- · Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
- · Pull and manipulate data within Excel or other programs
- · Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Manage employee intake, payroll and insurance accounts
Accounting Manager Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- Prior experience producing invoicing for a Law Firm and/or working with matter codes a major plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant experience with software applications (ex: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe). Timeslips or other professional billing software
Background and credit check will be required upon acceptance of position.
