Product Manager, Medicare Products

Chapter
New York, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 5/17/2024

About the Role:

Chapter has built industry-leading, proprietary technology to fulfill a simple promise: Help retirees find the best health coverage to meet their needs while reducing what they pay for it. We are growing incredibly quickly and are looking for a senior product manager to own our flagship product and main revenue driver: our Medicare recommendation suite.

As the lead product manager for our Medicare recommendation suite, you will be responsible for building and executing a product strategy to support our company’s fast paced growth.  You will own our recommendation engine (which matches consumers to the right Medicare plan) as well as our advisor facing workflow products and CRM (which track customers through our sales cycle). Additionally, you will partner with our Data Science and Engineering teams to build net new products/feature sets that help us intelligently scale our offering.

This role is a hybrid role located in NYC.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the General Manager of our Medicare business to build a strategy for scale
  • Partner with our Head of Data and Tech Lead to develop novel, AI-driven capabilities that help us detect and correct inefficiencies in our Medicare sales cycle
  • Build product guardrails and interventions to ensure we’re able to efficiently scale our best-in-class user experience
  • Ruthlessly prioritize and help the team maintain a fast product release cadence
  • Work with our Head of Product and other product managers to help shape product processes and culture

About You:

  • 7 years of product management experience at a tech-driven company
  • Able to quickly learn new topics, including the nuances of Medicare and other domains, to guide your understanding of user flows, pain points, and opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to craft, communicate, and garner support for a product strategy
  • Strong user empathy and an eagerness to understand the world from our users’ perspectives
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
  • Quantitative analytics skills that reflect an ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Creativity and vision that allow you to take leaps when data is not available

Bonus points

  • Previous experience working in fast paced, ambiguous start-up environments
  • Experience scaling a complex product significantly
  • Experience with AI/ML tooling
  • Experience building analytics leveraging technologies like SQL or Python

Chapter Offers All Employees the Following Benefits and Perks

  • Full medical, dental, and vision, premiums covered at 100% for full-time employees on our base plan
  • Unlimited PTO, a winter break shutdown, and paid holidays to encourage a healthy work-life blend
  • $500 desk setup subsidy to set-up your unique home office
  • $100/month health and wellness subsidy
  • Benefit from our partnerships with Spring Health (mental health support), Rightway (care navigation), Carrot (fertility support), and OneMedical (concierge and telehealth care) to prioritize your well-being.
  • In-office lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays, and a stocked office pantry
  • Generous and competitive parental leave for all parents
  • A beautiful NYC (SoHo/West Village area) office and a hybrid in-office policy — dogs welcome!

We think the starting salary for this role will be in the $190,000 - $275,000 range, but it might vary depending on skills and experiences. If you think you'd be a good fit for the role, you should apply. All of our offers are based on our assessment of each individual's unique skills and experience.
