Mobile Training Team Instructor
Charles F. Day & Associates, LLC is seeking individuals interested in out MTT Instructor position supporting the WVNG & Office of Bombing Prevention. This position is out of West Virginia; however applicants can be located nationwide.
Location: West Virginia, Remote
Clearance: Secret
Travel Requirement: 60%-70%
Requirements:
- Background in civilian/military law enforcement, tactical team (SWAT/SRT) experience, hazardous device techs, EOD techs, bomb dog handlers, surveillance operations, special forces, combat engineers, and emergency managers.
- Instructor development certificate, teaching experience.
- Knowledge of explosives and IED components: An Office for Bombing Prevention Mobile Training Team Instructor should have a strong understanding of different types of explosives, their properties, and how they can be used to cause damage.
- Surveillance Detection: Understanding of the principles and techniques of surveillance detection with the skills to identify suspicious behavior, activities, and items.
- Bomb Threat Planning: Understanding of the principles and techniques for successful bomb threat planning with the analytical skills to assess and interpret data and intelligence related to bomb threat to develop effective bomb threat planning at a management level.
- Protective Measures for Bombing Incidents: Familiarity with different types of protective measures, including physical security, access control, and emergency response with the analytical skills to assess security vulnerabilities and risks to effectively develop protective measures for bombing incidents.
- Curriculum: Able to deliver training programs and educational materials that are appropriate for a range of audiences, including law enforcement, security personnel, emergency responders, and other stakeholders.
- Instructional design: Ability to deliver effective training programs using a variety of teaching methodologies, including lectures, interactive activities, and simulations.
- Communication skills: An Office for Bombing Prevention Mobile Training Team Instructor should be able to communicate complex concepts and ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Interpersonal skills: Able to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders, and be able to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
- Travel and flexibility: A Mobile Training Team Instructor should be able to travel frequently and work flexible hours to meet the training needs of various organizations.
- Risk assessment and management: Able to assess potential risks and vulnerabilities in a given location or facility and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Continuous learning: Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices in bombing prevention and detection to be able to effectively teach and train others.
