Get outside and work on the water this Summer! The Charles Riverboat Company is a Boston based boat company operating sightseeing cruises and private chartered events on the Charles River and Boston Harbor.

Position Overview: The Charles Riverboat Company is currently seeking a passionate hospitality professional to work as Mate and Bartender on our public and private cruises. This is the ideal service position for someone currently looking to work on the water and enjoys working as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with greeting guests and creating a seamless guest experience
  • Knowledge of proper beverage service for beer, wine and liquor
  • Meet and exceed all guest requests and expectations with professional attitude
  • Set-up and breakdown of bar and tables for all private events
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and safety at all times
  • Follow safety procedures in order to ensure protection of passengers and vessel
  • Maintain the cleanliness of bar and vessels

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Pre-employment and on-going random drug testing required for all marine personnel
  • Ability to work at least part-time April through October
  • Outgoing and energetic personality
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
  • Must enjoy spending time outside on the water

If hired, all employees must pass a drug test as required by the US Coast Guard. Employees must have the ability to work nights and weekends and attend company training sessions prior to employment. Video or in-person interviews will be required.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $15.00 per hour
