A Facilities Space Planner is responsible for managing and coordinating work efforts of all Move/Add/Change (MAC) requests. The individual in this role schedules furniture and equipment delivery and installation to meet project timelines and coordinates and manages staff and furniture/equipment moves.

A Facilities Space Planner is responsible for managing and coordinating work efforts of all Move/Add/Change (MAC) requests. The individual in this role schedules furniture and equipment delivery and installation to meet project timelines and coordinates and manages staff and furniture/equipment moves.
Essential Functions
- Manage all space related MAC requests from initial receipt through to completion; utilize Facilities CMMS software to track and manage work backlog/requests.
- Coordinate the allocation of building space, office layouts, furniture, and cubicles for moves and changes.
- Create fit, finish, and furniture standardization plan for the site; enforce and adhere to plan with stakeholders.
- Maintain furniture inventory levels and facilitate procurement plans for inventory and service.
- Develop space and/or move solutions to address internal clients' occupancy or relocation requests.
- Provide space data management, space analysis/reporting, programming, and planning of space and occupant relocation.
- Work with business leaders to understand current and future space needs; conduct space feasibility studies when applicable.
- Collaborate with Facilities maintenance, custodial, and engineering teams in completion of work requests where necessary.
- Collaborate with site Environmental Health & Safety Services (EH&SS) and Security teams to ensure that job scope meets required guidelines for site safety, ergonomics, and security.
- Determine space availability and preparation of space.
- Collaborate and coordinate with architects, interior designers, project managers and construction managers in the completion of MAC requests.
- Coordinate contractor safe work through work permitting, job reviews, and chaperoning.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
- HS/GED/Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience with focus on Facilities space planning, interior design, or architecture; NCIDQ certification preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize AutoCAD to manipulate and maintain accurate drawings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of furniture systems, architectural and interior design as well as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technological components, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and building codes.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.
- Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice.
- Ability to work under specific time constraints.
Starting Salary for this role will be 58k.
