What you haveWe are seeking an experienced retirement professional who has a proven success in a client facing role. This position includes daily oversight and coordination of all aspects of qualified (401k, 403b) and non-qualified retirement plan recordkeeping and administration. This includes resolution of client issues, coordination of internal groups for issue resolution, client presentations and sales support. As the lead interface between plan sponsor and Schwab, the Relationship Manager will be accountable for client satisfaction, delivering value to clients by broadening Schwab's relationships with plan sponsors and plan participants. The Manager will have an understanding of, and adherence to, Schwab policies and practices and mitigation of operational and financial risk to Schwab. The role will require overnight travel to client sites.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work related experience preferred
- 5 years of Qualified Plan/Trust administration experience
- Understanding of ERISA and Pension industry rules and regulations is strongly preferred
- ASPPA, CEBS and/or NIPA designation highly preferred. QPA, QKA, CPC or equivalent certification/designation also highly preferred
- Proven success in a client facing role
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement client strategies, retirement plan design, compliance, IRS reporting, as well as a working knowledge of mutual funds and other investments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to actively participate in client presentations is a key strength in this role
- Must be available for overnight travel
