BASIC FUNCTION
To ensure all guests are greeted and served in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with Hotel policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience)
- Prior experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- To open and close, including signage, hours of operation, lighting of room and general set-up procedures. Serve all food and beverage items
- Maintain cleanliness of the food area; including bussing and re-setting tables, keeping the floors clean and maintaining overall neatness of the entire area
- Greet guests with a smile and small talk, use names when possible
- Inform the guest about any specials using proper verbiage
- Attend to and anticipate guest needs
- Familiarization with menu
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials and/or daily drinks
- Keep areas up to date and organized, par levels stocked, and overall set up of your area.
- Keep barista stand stocked with essentials
- Complete daily and weekly side work as assigned
- Close all guest checks
- Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
HOTEL SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by manager
- Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).
- Familiarity with parking validation procedures
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications
- Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost savings
ENVIRONMENT and POSITION ANALYSIS
Move, ben, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion
