Additional Compensation Details:

• $40- $55/hour Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
• Potential 90-day performance-based raise
• Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure

Responsibilities

Schedule

40-hour work week with overtime available depending on workload.

Shop hours are:

Monday – Friday 6am - 4:30pm

Rotating Saturdays 7:00am - 12:00pm

The Role

Charlies Produce is looking for an experienced Journey Level Fleet Mechanic to join a fast-paced work environment that requires flexibility to service the needs of our customers & team members. Our fleet consists of passenger up to Class 8 vehicles.

In this role, you will perform truck repair and maintenance work, run diagnostics on vehicles, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. There will be a focus on preventative maintenance, complex diagnosis, and repair along with ability to order parts. A specific set of tools is required for this position.

Essential Functions Include but Not Limited To:

• Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose and plan repairs.
• Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the work area.
• Ability to train and motivate team members.
• Knowledge of shop flow; dispatching and scheduling.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be team-oriented.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and prioritize activities under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Able to work on your feet for 8 hours.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer and email skills for regular daily communication with coworkers and departments.

Preferred Skills and Experience

The following certifications are a PLUS!

• DOT Inspector Certification.
• Air Brake Inspector Certification.
• Refrigeration 608 & 609 Certifications.
• CDL A or B.
