Therapist- Outpatient Open Access Program
Location: Punta Gorda, FL
Position Summary:
- Responsible for assessing and treating mental health/substance abuse/co-occurring disorder needs of patients seeking services.
- Developing and implementing recovery-focused treatment plans, which include measurable objectives stated in behavioral terms
- Provides evidence-based brief and solution-focused individual, marital, group or family therapy for children and adults.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation per agency standards, including progress notes and outcome tools.
- Become knowledgeable of, and be able to effectively communicate with related community service organizations.
- Respond to crisis situations for current caseload as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Masters in a Human Services field.
- FL License optional.
- Experience working with both children and adults.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience.
- Knowledge and skills in treating co-occurring population preferred. Ability to evaluate patient needs and provide direct service; ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and community agencies.
- Thorough knowledge of rules and regulations (including Florida's Mental Health/Marchman Acts) pertaining to the care and treatment of persons with psychiatric or phase of life problems, including overall treatment concepts and objectives.
- Excellent computer skills required.
