Paygrade C - $24.10/hr

Charlotte County Public Schools boasts a competitive compensation package* for employees. Qualifications:

• At least on of the follwing qualifications is required:
• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with a relevant major
• High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years’ of relevant experience

• Minimum of three (3) years’ clerical experience
• Knowledge of current computing technology and capacity to learn and use payroll-based software applications
• Ability to communicate, effectively, orally and in writing
• Ability to meet and deal professional and courteously with the publicAbility to interact, professionally and courteously, with (diverse) internal and external customers

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience processing payroll
2. Experience processing public-sector payroll with multiple simultaneous pay cycles
3. Extensive experience with ERP and payroll processing software
4. Knowledge of and the ability to read and interpret complex salary schedules
5. Familiarity with Fair Labor Standards and related pay practices
6. CPP(Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
