POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Build, drive, sustain, standardize, and simplify the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) processes and support technology enterprise wide. Implement and sustain a strategy to adopt critical skills, tools, processes, governance, and infrastructure for FP&A across the enterprise to enable business unit FP&A functions to be value-added business partners. Primary decision maker and process owner for FP&A with a focus on evolving the process through collaboration with business unit finance and leadership teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree.
- Ten plus years’ of progressively responsible experience in accounting and/or finance.
- Five plus years’ experience leading an FP&A function.
- Experience planning and forecasting in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and change management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and qualitative analysis skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with other functional areas and business units.
- Ability to communicate financial information in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive Continuous Improvement efforts across functions and business units.
- Proven ability to influence without authority, including cross-business collaboration and problem solving.
- Proficient with advanced features of Microsoft Office software products (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and/or CPA.
- Experience with CPM methodologies and systems.
- Experience with business intelligence & analytics platforms to drive analysis, decision-making, and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership in data analysis and visualization, use of technology, and digital transformation.
- Strong knowledge of FP&A activities including forecasting, planning, consolidations and reporting, data modeling.
- Demonstrated leadership in skill building and talent development in FP&A and advanced analytics.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Serve as process owner immediately accountable for building, driving, sustaining, standardizing, and simplifying FP&A processes and supporting technology enterprise-wide.
- Develop and cultivate FP&A skillset across enterprise-wide Finance team.
- Develop standardized forecasting and planning processes and governance across all business units with focus on reduction of complexity while deriving business insights and enabling decision-making.
- Lead development of driver-based forecasting model including integration of internal and external factors for all business units to enable predictive forecasting and scenario modeling.
- Direct RFP, vendor selection, process and system design and implementation of enterprise-wide forecasting and planning system.
- Development of KPI’s and relevant performance metrics to ensure compliance with FP&A guidelines.
- Establish partnership with IT to evaluate and approve technology solutions for FP&A functions.
- Partner with Corporate Director of Finance for strategic planning deliverables.
- Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.

- Dotted-line for Finance Manager – Corporate and associated team
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to: Corporate VP of Finance
- Primary internal customers: CFO, Corporate VP of Finance, Executive Leadership Team, Business Unit Presidents and Leadership Teams, Business Unit Finance Leaders
- Primary external customers: Board of Directors, Bank Partners
POSITION CHALLENGES:
- Driving standardization in process and data across autonomous business units.
- Change management and influencing decision-making in areas not under direct control.
- Adhering to demanding timelines for forecast and plan.
- Ensuring accuracy in all sources of information and reports for the department.
- Understanding where to gather information from within a wide variety of sources and clearly deliver it in a way that helps support decision needs of managers outside the department.
