Available Shift schedule/hours:

  • A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday 7:00am-7:00pm
  • B: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday 7:00pm-7:00am
  • D: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday 7:00pm-7:00am

 

Compensation:

  • Wages starting at $18.00. 
  • Night shift differential: $2.50

 

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Adhere to company PPE policies and procedures.
  • Check job tickets for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
  • Match correct plates with job and ensure plates are in proper working condition.
  • Utilize 100% sized proof when mounting plates.
  • Prepare plates for mounting on sleeves and mount, ensuring plates are accurately mounted, all information is correct, and making certain the sleeves are in good condition.
  • Repair and adjust plates as needed during runs (e.g., tape behind plate, trim plate lift, reglue)
  • Clean and un-mount plates when jobs are completed. Inspect plates for defects and report findings to the Printing Process Technician.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Responsible for moving inks to the off-press ink staging area and keeps the area clean and well organized.
  • Ensures proper identification of inks. Responsible for updating ink inventory for on hand inks that are returning from the off press staging area.
  • Re-labels and returns ink and rework ink back into inventory.
  • By utilizing a handheld scanner, enter data to update inventory and location of materials.
  • Assist dispensing inks and as directed.
  • Rotate ink stock – First In First Out (FIFO)
  • Prepare pre-set up of plates, anilox, and inks.
  • Perform typical manual cleaning on anilox sleeves.
  • Conduct deep cleaning procedures on anilox sleeves using a laser anilox cleaning machine.
  • Follow a detailed cleaning and audit schedule.
  • Inspect anilox sleeves for imperfections and report any findings to the Printing Process Technician
  • Return cleaned anilox sleeves to the assigned storage area.
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory records of all materials and supplies.
  • Perform tasks/ duties completely, accurately, and efficiently as directed.
  • May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs required.

 

 

OUR SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
  • Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
  • Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
  • Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
  • Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers
  • Maintain production volume and efficiency
  • Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed

  

OUR BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of plastic extrusion experience preferred
  • Ability to work with measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, etc.
  • Solid technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift throughout a 12- hour period. (Our lift limit is 65lbs)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Focus on safety and quality production
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

 

Physical Work and Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand most of their 12-hour shift on a cement production floor. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach and hands to handle or feel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Must be able to routinely climb stairs and work safely around numerous hot surfaces and rotating equipment.
  • Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes that can be near 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
