JOB DESCRIPTION
Chatham Hills looking for Banquet Servers and Bartenders at Chatham Hills. We focus on weddings, corporate meetings and other large-scale events. We provide a full and exciting menu from buffet layouts to four course plated meals. Duties include setting patron tables and buffet areas for service. During service, a Banquet Server accommodates all guests and is responsible for replenishing buffet food, refilling beverages, removing dirty dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.
We’d prefer to hire professionals with previous wait staff experience in high-volume and fast-paced environments. If you’ve worked in a banquet setting before, we definitely want to hear from you.
*DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve beverages and prepared meals to guests in an accurate and timely manner
- Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests
- Checks back to ensure guest(s) satisfaction; replenishes items as necessary and/or requested
- Keeps tables, banquet room, dining room and work station(s) sanitized and organized
- Listen and respond to customer complaints
- Performs clean-up and closing procedures as assigned by manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Deliver food and beverages
- Demonstrate genuine hospitality while greeting and establishing rapport with the Members/Guests and delivering an exceptional dining experience
- Must have upbeat outgoing and positive attitude
- Must be able to assist Members/Guests and possess great relational skills
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Math Skills * Ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. as needed

- Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
- Must have basic knowledge of service standards, guest relations, food and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
- Excellent communication skills to communicate to guests and team members in high stress situations during banquet service.
