Job Summary:
Under the direction of the R&D staff, the Development Sample Technician will be responsible for preparation and dispatch of all standard and NPD samples. This person will also assist with the execution of product development tasks, internal process improvements, and other R&D tasks. This position also works with other Chaucer Foods, Inc. departments to ensure effective communication and successful customer relations.
Job Responsibilities:
· Manage preparation and dispatch of product samples in a timely fashion
· Manage & maintain the R&D ingredient dispensary
· Assist the senior NPD team with NPD duties and general lab maintenance duties
· Maintain a stock of all required products ensuring stock rotation and full traceability
· Ensure Salesforce and other NPD systems are maintained and updated in a timely fashion
· Liaise with other company functions and attend meetings necessary to perform duties of the role and aid business and organizational development
· Conform to all HR policies and procedures
· Ensure Company property in your possession is kept safe and in good condition
· Ensure that workload is prioritized to meet Chaucer’s business needs directed by line manager.
Requirements:
· Must have laboratory experience
· College degree in science field preferred
· Must have food-handling experience, with a working knowledge of food safety (GMP and HACCP)
· Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications
· Must be comfortable learning new technology
