Job Title: Route Accounting Clerk CBC

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt Hourly Part-Time  25 Hours Per Week, In-Person Office, Flex Start Time between 9 am-11 am (work 5 hours daily)

Location:  Salisbury - Carolina Bottling, QB Kinston & QB Leland

Summary:  Cheerwine is seeking a Part-Time (25 hour) Route Settlement Clerk to join our accounting team.  The ideal candidate will be a person who can thrive in a team-based environment, is flexible, attention to detail, and has a good attitude.  In addition, the ideal candidate would have organizational, good communication and technology skills and understanding to effectively collaborate with warehouses and other team members.  Duties and responsibilities include auditing, reconciling, and posting daily transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks for daily route settlement for Warehouses, substantiating business transactions.

Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.  Reviews daily cash deposits for warehouses.

Audits route paperwork, researches discrepancies, and processes settlements.

Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.

Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.

Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.

Education/Experience:

Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software, and Database software.
