Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Tustin, CA

Summary

Lead engineering team to develop new lines of hydraulic AC / DC circuit / power units.

Design CAD models using SolidWorks adapting DFM/DFA methods.

Issue engineering drawings by utilizing GD&T and accounting for fit, form & function.

Develop Engineering Documents such as testing procedure, instruction, and reports.

Design automatic tests, using PLC, electromechanical devices, and instruments.

Engineering Competencies - Required

  • Perform Solid Modeling, Drawing, and Develop Documentation
  • SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D (Draft sight, Solid Edge 2D).
  • Fluid Power Schematics.
  • IEC Style Control Schematics.
  • ASME Drawing Standards, ANSI Y14.X.
  • Document project requirements, assumptions, calculations, and results.
  • Document test, troubleshooting, and investigative findings.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Fluid Power Standards (NFPA, IFPS, ISO, SAE).
  • Perform Hydraulic Power Unit Testing.
  • Manifold Design/Development/Production
  • Perform Test Data Plotting/Presentation.
  • Perform Test Equipment Development.
  • Familiarity with Material Standards (ASTM).
  • Familiarity with Coating Standards.
  • Perform Test Actuator Force Analysis (statics/dynamics).
  • Perform Test Component, Frame, Assembly Strength Analysis.
  • Integrate sensing and electronic control functions with fluid power components and systems.
  • Cite hands-on experience with fluid power components and systems.
