What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Manager, Connexi position at Chemonics?
Connexi, formerly known as the Procurement & Logistics Technology Center (PLTC) is seeking a Communications Manager. The Communications Manager will ensure that Connexi leverages and builds on its target client market research. They will develop strategies and implementation plans for growing the knowledge of client’s preferences, trends, and opportunities. The Communications Manager will subsequently develop holistic and client specific communication and outreach plans, ensuring that they are informative, effective, and engaging. This will include producing content such as website, social media posts, infographics, and newsletters in order to broaden service visibility and attract clients. The Communications Manager will coordinate closely with the Business Development Manager(s) and ensure they are following outreach and communication strategies when engaging directly with clients and to track key client account status and metrics. The Communication Manager will ensure that all marketing and outreach efforts follow branding, voice, and language strategies.

Responsibilities include:

Communications
- Leverages existing market research to develop holistic and donor specific outreach and communication strategies and implementation plans
- Constructs and maintains a client market research and engagement calendar across client segments; manages timelines and deliverables; leads and executes email outreach, web and social media content; reports on results while learning from patterns and trends to ensure growth
- Manages a continuous multichannel outreach plan to capture target market segments, namely institutional donors, international NGO’s, national governments, and the private sector
- Develops client outreach and engagement protocols
- Collaborate with Chemonics’ corporate and project communications teams, as needed, for development of internal and external communications plans
- Ensures consistent external messaging (voice and language) that is in line with specific value offerings to our target clients
- Creates effective communication materials (quarterly newsletters, blogs, infographics, client testimonials, social media posts, white papers, presentations, posters etc.) drawing upon Chemonics’ experience, innovation, and talent

Knowledge Management
- Coordinates and collects reports from Business Development Managers on client meetings and outreach efforts
- Maintains and updates website and social media profiles, producing quality content on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Coordinates with the Business Development Managers to develop and track key client account metrics, monitor and manage account status, and provide regular reporting to the Business Development and Communications Director
- Compiles and distributes communication best practices, tool kit, procedures and protocols
- Establishes consistent company branding standards across all internal and external communication efforts

Marketing
- Identifies gaps in market research and develops plans to address these gaps
- Conducts market analysis and research to identify trends and opportunities within PLTC’s capture target market sectors
- Collaborates with the Director of Global Supply Chain Services and Director of In-Country Supply Chain Solutions to support the development of technical products, service offerings, and value propositions to maintain full alignment with client requirements and build competitive advantage
Qualifications:
- Marketing, Communications, or relevant degree or equivalent relevant experience required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial business development and/or marketing/communications for private sector, non-profit, technology, start-up, or agency setting, including experience using multichannel marketing
- Demonstrated understanding of client requirements and preferred methods of business in the global health supply chain sector, preferably in the context of international development
- Strong relationship building and management skills; demonstrated ability to network within and across industries
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, lead effective meetings, and effectively deliver presentations
- Experience working on technical programs for emerging economies preferred
- Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluation options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with CRM software
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
