Short Term Mine Planning Engineer

Chemours is seeking a Mining Engineer to join our growing Technology team! This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager at our Nahunta, Georgia location. The Mining Engineer role is a full-time position that will support the mine planning team by analyzing data, providing reports, creating maps, and leading projects. This role will include key communications with multiple mining operations divisions to provide mapping, planning, geologic, and engineering support. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Generate short term mining plans to keep operations on budget targets and within the mid to long term plan Provide GIS maps including forecasting, topography, permitting, reclamation, monthly and annual reporting Provide volumetric reports including stockpiles, tailings, mining pit consumption, ore floor analysis Provide weekly, monthly, and annual reports including maps, volumes, acres Provide compliance reports on berms, mining and reclamation areas Develop cell designs and mine layout for water containment, mining accuracy and improvements to ore recovery while following permitting standards Maintain and update HYPACK GPS system on dredge and fleet liaison for coordinating GPS needs Leader of Software Licensing and management for Mine Planning Department Support mid-term planner in order to design and implement mining processes Support Drone needs as back-up pilot and drone data processing Support survey needs as back-up surveyor and survey data processing The following is required for this role: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Mine Engineering or Geology or relevant Military experience Proficient of Vulcan or ability to learn the software Proficient GIS Mapping Proficient in MS Office The following is preferred for this role: 3 years or more experience in mining industry FAA Drone Pilots License Benefits: Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Days WE’RE CHEMOURS.
