Technical Service Engineer

Chemours is seeking a Technical Service Engineer to join our technical team at our state-of-the-art research facility, the Chemours Discovery Hub, in Newark, Delaware. The position will report to the Global Technical Service Manager. This position will support the Advanced Performance Material (APM) business focusing on development of new fluoropolymer materials, processes and applications for emerging markets such as high-speed data transfer. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Work together with the R&D and application development engineers as well as market development managers on developing and testing prototypes in our Chemours laboratories as well as scaling up on commercial assets/equipment Collaborate within global business team and global technical community to exchange experience and share results Work with vendors to develop, setup and operate new laboratory equipment Support customer specific application development projects as well assist customer with issues as they arise Develop data of commercial products for the market development team The following is required for this role: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or relatable fields OR equivalent experience Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with a strong 'Customer Focus' attitude to drive the projects to successful commercialization The ability to work well with all levels in the organization Self-motivated, customer focused, and ability to independently achieve results Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects Ability to work in a team environment with high degree of initiative and self-motivation and flexibility to monitor and move projects forward quickly and safely The following is preferred for this role: Knowledge and experience of extrusion processes utilizing fluoropolymers Knowledge and experience of electronics related applications utilizing fluoropolymers Benefits: Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Days WE’RE CHEMOURS.
