SENIOR COST ESTIMATOR
The Senior Cost Estimator will create cost estimate sheets and final quotes for various customer programs based upon RFQ information provided on the sales RFQ sheet. The position will include reviewing prepared estimate sheets and tooling sheets with management for cost approval or adjustment to complete the formal quote form.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Prepares RFQ worksheets for various injection molding programs (new or existing).
• Prepares formal quotations to the customers for signoff by management.
• Reviews worksheets with management for approval or modification(s).
• Estimates the cost of new and proposed products and services in the assigned departments, areas, or projects.
• Analyzes changes to the products and services provided.
• Uses CAD design and visualization to view and interrogate assemblies, parts, and drawings in major 2D and 3D formats.
• Provide specific feedback and recommendations to the Engineering department to determine if assemblies, parts, and drawings are accurate to the corresponding quote.
• Provides detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs.
• Documents data and statistical procedures used in conducting cost analysis.
• Assists in preparation of the annual budget to determine standard costs.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as DTR / IQMS.
• Familiarity with Spinfire Ultimate used for CAD design and visualization.
• Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multiple departments.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Proficient math skills.
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of injection molding, plastics manufacturing, and/or tooling experience.
• At least 5 years of cost estimating experience.
• At least 5 years of preparing Excel worksheets and knowledge of basic formulas.
• Must have knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and various parts.
