Position Summary:

Cherichetti Horticulture is seeking applicants for its Plant Health Care Horticulturist position. The position will implement our plant health care program including organic fertilization, IPM, and preventative care of trees shrubs, and lawns.

The successful applicant will also assist in the installation and care of residential gardens, including maintenance of perennial, vegetable, container, and cutting flower gardens; pruning of shrubs and ornamental trees; provide watering and management of irrigation systems, and perform other activities related to providing plant health care. Examples of tasks include helping move and apply mulch, weeding flower beds, planting, deadheading, moving pruning debris, spot seeding lawns.

The position provides an opportunity to gain experience in residential horticulture and be part of a small professional team. There is also the opportunity for advancement.

We offer a retirement plan after 2 years of employment.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must be positive, energetic, and ready to do physical work in a variety of weather conditions. A valid driver’s license is required. Must be able to maintain hourly work log. Previous horticulture/garden/tree knowledge or experience needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
