CNC Programmer
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen
Responsible for development and setup of numerical part and tooling programs by analyzing part drawings, customer provided models and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selecting cutting tools, and machine speeds and feeds, according to knowledge of machine shop processes.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for CNC Programmer: $65,000 - $72,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
CNC Programmer Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and setup numerical part and tooling programs for CNC machines, routers and lasers.
- Analyze part drawings, customer provided models, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selecting cutting tools, and machine speeds and feeds.
- Provide detailed setup sheets, which include detailed work instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers and offsets.
- Select cutting tools, tool paths, cutting speeds and feed rates appropriate for each job.
- Select and fabricate holding fixtures as required for machining operations.
- Guide and support team members with programming, setups, troubleshooting and how to load/unload parts correctly.
- Troubleshoot production-machining programs to identify root causes of part defects and implement changes to the process that improve quality overall, reduce cycle time, and maximize total throughput.
- Assist in manufacturing and process engineering projects for R&D and continuous improvement.
- Occasionally setup and operate CNC equipment as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
CNC Programmer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Two (2) years machine operator experience producing aerospace standard aluminum and steel materials or equivalent, required
- Four (4) years programming experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis machine operations to AS9100 standards or equivalent, required
- Two (2) years programming experience using CATIA software packages, preferred
- Experience Adobe, Solidworks, CAM, PowerPoint, and Excel strongly preferred
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
- Per our government client, US Citizenship is required
