Systems Support Technician
Seeking an Information Assurance Technician to manage and enhance the security posture of our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include implementing security measures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, and proficiency in cybersecurity tools.

Systems Support Technician Responsibilities Include:
- Operate a customer service phone number to assist technical training personnel with issues related to classroom IT to include immersive training systems, eTools & eTOs, U.S. student network accounts, and FN student token issuance
- Use the Remedy trouble ticket system to manage work order requests
- Provide computer systems administration support that includes computer Hardware and software troubleshooting, repair and maintenance
- Sustain, troubleshoot, and repair unclassified tech training IT network information systems IAW DAFMAN 17-1203
- Provide comprehensive program oversight and management of eTools and eTOs hardware & software
- Manage warranty repair/replacement of eTool assets through the applicable RMA process
- Perform duties as a Cybersecurity Liaison (CL) to assist in meeting Computer Security (COMPUSEC) requirements
- Manage the standardized access control process for Airman-in-Training (AiT)
- Provide direct support for Government IT hardware and software assets to ensure proper distribution/tracking and equipment accountability
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Systems Support Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Information Assurance (IA) technology or a closely related area, preferably in the US Air Force, Military or DoD setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Function at the Information Assurance Technician (IAT)-Level II as described in DoDM 8140.03.
- Complete and maintain IAT-Level II (Security ) training, certifications and CEUs IAW AFMAN 17-1303
- Maintain currency of all recurring mandatory ancillary training that is required for DAF civilian or contractors
- Complete initial and recurring information security education and training program as described in DoDM 5200.01, V1_AFMAN 16- 1404, V1, Information Security: Overview, Classification and Declassification.
- Complete 82 CS Property Custodian initial/refresher training when required IAW AFMAN 17-1203_SHEPPARDAFBSUP.
- Complete all cyber security training required for Cybersecurity Liaison duties and any refresher training as applicable.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
